Bad Bunny has announced his groundbreaking first residency, choosing to celebrate his musical journey in his home country of Puerto Rico. The artist will perform 21 shows at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot from July 11 to August 24, marking a historic moment for both the venue and Puerto Rican music.

The residency, titled "No me quiero ir de aquí" (I do not want to leave here), draws its name from a lyric in his hit song "El Apagón" from his album "Un Verano Sin Ti". This choice reflects the deeply personal connection the artist maintains with his homeland.

The shows will take place at "El Choli", Puerto Rico's largest indoor entertainment arena, capable of hosting over 18,000 people. Notably, this is the first formal residency ever held at the venue, underscoring the significance of Bad Bunny's musical legacy.

The residency coincides with the release of his sixth studio album "Debí Tirar Más Fotos" (I should have taken more photos), which the artist describes as his "most Puerto Rican" album. The record debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's top streaming albums chart and No. 2 on the Billboard 200.

Bad Bunny's album blends traditional Puerto Rican rhythms like salsa, plena, and bomba with modern genres like reggaeton and dembow. His lyrics explore Puerto Rico's political realities and cultural heritage, with the artist expressing hope that the music will bridge generational divides.

Ticket sales will prioritize Puerto Rican residents, with the first nine shows available exclusively to local purchasers, further emphasizing the artist's commitment to his community.
